Detect, log and resolve incidents and requests, Provide initial support to customers. Use network management tools like PRTG, MRTG and watsup Gold to provide business reports. Also responsible for carrying out skills transfer programs to customers both internal and external, other responsibilities include monitoring voice quality on a regular basis on all the voice routes, carry out several configurations on routers, switches both Cisco and extreme and any other networking equipment. we want to our country to have the best ISP in Africa and we cant do that without skills and good customer care and NOC. We have two remote POPs. We have two links to two ISPs, we do BGP failover for redundancy. We use ISIS for IGP, we lay fibre optic cable to our customers and use GPON for their connection.
